Stanley Kubrick directed his first film, Fear and Desire, a kind of generic anti-war film, in 1952. His next twelve films (in chronological order) include, Killer’s Kiss (1955), The Killing (1956), Paths of Glory (1957), Spartacus (Yes, that one, 1960), Lolita (1962), Dr. Strangelove (Yes, that one, 1964), 2001: A Space Odyssey (Yes, that one, 1968), A Clockwork Orange (Yes, that one, 1971), Barry Lyndon (1975), The Shining (Yes, that one, 1980), Full Metal Jacket (Yes, that one, 1987), and Eyes Wide Shut, his last film, (Yes, that one, 1999).
